Two guys formed a band few weeks ago and they've booked the point for
this May and hope to sell it out. At their own expense if neccessary.

They were formed this time last year, and they have been on tv and all over the last few months. I think it was a daring idea at the time, but it might backfire on them as I doubt that it well sell out on them.

I hate the Point Theatre. That alone would put me off.
What would also put me off is paying money to see a band I've never heard of... in the Point.

Yeah they formed in May last year and wanted to see if shameless advertising and publicity could sell out the Point. It's a shame their songs are awful MOR Crap.

The band were called "the Odds"

I auditioned for drummer (about May last year). I got a 2nd auditition and afterwards they said that they would need me to rehearse about 3-4 times a week, during the day, without any pay whatsoever! I said that I need to work in order to live so, I never heard from them again.

Their site hasn't been updated for months by the looks of things... I dont think this whole gig will happen either... T-minus 4 months? yeah right

how could they afford that?. i mean it's not like these guys gig to pay the bills. the website looks great and that doesn't come cheap. and who could afford to rent one of the biggest venues in town? they must have very rich dads.....
