Minimum spec to run games at medium/low res?

    Will a 1.5ghz sempron with 512mb PC 2700 and a 128 MB ti4200 handle most current games ie LOTR BFME, CODUO, Rome total war etc?

    ya i second that it should be able to run those games ok @ 800x600 or 1024x768

    i run all games coduo far cry etc on my amd 2400 ti4200 geoforce 4 .256meg ram, 64meg grafix,everything runs ok ,u may need turn off textures and antialiasing vsync grafix on some games ,i have to run games at 640x480x32 32bitcolor, full detail cos my monitor is very old ,but games look very good i find ,if game runs slow try 640 res hidetail grafics effects shadows etc,but u can run em at 800x600 res,i get doubleimages at 800resolution due to monitor.

    i,m getting 19inch monitor in 2 weeks ,so ,im using ancient monitor to try out games temporarily,,just making point some games may look better at 640x480 full detail shadows full textures etc IF UR USING a 1.3ghz cpu ,,rather than trying to run every game at 1024 hires 32bit color,with low detail textures medium graphics i only got athon2400 at xmas so i wanted to load all the games see what they look like ,if u have 1.3 cpu try it and see u have nothing to lose.knock off vsync.set refresh rate monitor at 6omhz.
