.EMP files?

Brother bought a Kasabian album and he wanted to rip it to MP3 and put it on his iPod.

However, the normally brillant CD-DA Extractor would not rip it for him.

The album gave software with it for ripping but it only ripped it to the format .EMP (e-Music file) which is a file used by a legal downloading music service (eMusic)

    From their help section (http://www.emusic.com/help/download.html#q5):

Q: What is an EMP file?
A: An EMP is a special file that an EMP Download Manager uses to start downloading MP3s. The advantage of an EMP file is that it is exclusive to eMusic and RMP download managers will not attempt to overtake EMP downloads.

Anyone have any experience with these? Can't find a way to convert them to MP3 anyways?
