European PS 2 games

Hi all, I don't know if this is the right board or if anyone knows I just wondered if ps2 games from other european countries (ie Germany, France etc), would work in a ps2 here. I presume they would as on the games I have you can change the language, just wondered if anyone knew for certain. Thanks.

yep.
just look out for the "PAL" logo on the back of the game's box. that pretty much guarantees that the game will work in your PS2.

Germany and France are both countries that use the PAL tv system afaik
