TORONTO (CP) -- Ontario Premier Mike Harris says provincial politicians deserve a forthcoming 25 per cent pay raise but his cabinet colleagues said Wednesday that voters will ultimately decide. ...

"It is not near what a federal MP makes, but it's more than what a lot of other people make."

The bulk of the salary increase recommended earlier this week by acting integrity commissioner Gregory Evans won't kick in until after the next election, which is likely two years away.

What a shame we can't do that here, that's one provision of the U.S. Constitution I like:

So they need to get re-elected if they want their nice juicy pay rise.
