I don't suppose that, being Lidl, that would be "real" Stella Artois brewed in Belgium and not the "brewed under licence" stuff we usually get here by any chance?

Are you sure? I was in there yesterday and if i'm not mistaken these are 20 packs of 25cl bottles, not 24packs of 33cl and if thats the case you're better off buying the 20 33cl bottles in dunnes for 19.99

    thats a brilliant deal.
Will that be in all the Lidl stores?
I better go get some after work. I dont see how I have a choice really.

Why bother paying €15, when im sure a farmer would happily give you a bucket load of warm cow piss for free :p

ya get sick of the cow piss after 2 or 3 bottles though

Stella is the real king of beers. 5.2%

Folks, sorry for the confusion, they're actually 250ml bottles, not 330ml. :(

Not such a great deal after all.

stella is muck. even the belgians don't drink it. they only brew that for foreigners who can't drink "real" beer - eg Duvel, Delerium, Judas, Kwak, La Chouffe, La Trappe, Kasteel, Pirat and all the rest of the beers over 6%

So you mean that De Koninck drank more than water in Antwerp by the locals isn't real beer at 5% ;) anyhow those little 250ml bottles of Stella from Lidl are a nice thirst quencher for a Brit larger. :p

    Edit spelling :o

    20 x 25cl @ €15 = €3.00/litre
    20 x 33cl @ €20 = €3.03/litre

No difference really - not better off either way...

The "stumpies" are handy though :)

Lidl have had these for quite a while. They are "Brewed in the UK"

Are you saying any beer under 6% is muck, or that all beers over are "real" beers. Either way, your argument is a bit contrary to your perceived love & knowledge of beers :). You are right though when you say Stell is muck!!

I disagree, stella is lovely beer

don't see anything special about it myself, would put it on a par with tescos 8.99 biere d'or

Neither. I am stating the impression I got from drinking with several Belgians. Similar to the way Fosters is brewed by Ozzies for export, Stella likewise.
