I reckon one or two of you got the 15' screen laptop that was being sold in Aldi on the 27/11/04.
Just wondering if anybody tried to use the laptop with another monitor to have dual monitors?
Will the graphics card allow you to do so?
I have asked around and found that you cant use the monitor on the laptop as your second monitor (trying dual monitor again) for your desktop pc. Is this true or utter horse flaps?
    Any suggestions?

not sure about the aldi (gericom i think??) laptops but with any other laptop i've used, once the tv-out is active, you can set up the dual monitor display using the display properties in windows (right-click on the desktop and hit properties)

if its not working try booting the laptop with the tv or monitor that u intend to use connected and maybe check in the bios to see if there is an option to turn dual display on/off...

there should be something in the user manual about connecting a second screen also.

This might let you use your laptop as a second screen for a desktop pc.

on my old laptop, if the tv-out wasnt connected at boot, it wouldnt recognise when you plugged it in, but i think there was an option in the bios to change this. best bet is to just plug the cable in and then turn on the laptop
