I presume this is on tonight at 8.30? The Paddy Power gaming team are all heading in for some action tonight, anyone going to be around?

It's on tonight alright. There's the free roll tourny (holdem) before it at about half 4, and no doubt some hot and sweaty sit 'n go action as well.

I love this tournament, might try to get in later to play if possible.
Cheaper than a cash game if you're trying to learn Omaha, and everyone plays so loose that you can play tight and still get action on your good hands.

    *Cough*

    I hate Omaha :)

I made all my money on the hold 'em and lost it all to Omaha, went out on a silly Omaha hand with 8876, i was tired and grumpy and there was a massive pot with blinds at 400-800, went for a gutshot straight and naturally lost when i missed and the board paired giving the house.

The same happened on another pot when i flopped the nut straight but come the turn the board paired.

I am not at all comfortable with Omaha yet and felt that if the tourny was hold'em only.... well. No one really scared me at the table and I was given alot of respect with my calls and raises.

First hand was hilarious, I look down to see AA, poor Ross was given an evil gift of KK, doubled up on the 1st hand...

One thing i was quite rightly pissed off (I said nothing) with was one of the players exposing a Qc (I mean come on are you not capable of simply pushing your cards into the centre of the table??? Sheesh) flop came Q8x I had 89s and well had the Q not been exposed i wasn't putting a cent into the pot, fair play to the lady with the glasses? as she was holding a Q she led out with a 1k bet and checked the turn setting up a nice little trap which cost me 4k of about my 8k stack with blinds at 200-400.

Another interesting hand was i was dealt AA xx, Ross had Q8xx, flop came 8 high, i go over the top he calls (and idiotic call imo) and turns a Q for the two pair.

I'll be back...just not for the Omaha.

Anyone entering the 30k freebie on 365 tonight?

Moderators, can do something about this heathen! ;)

Aye, its a cruel mistress alright. However, I put in a solid 14 hours cash game play over Friday and Saturday in the fitz and I am now of the opinion that Holdem bores me. Much more fun when it is Omaha only.

I always found it strange that they played a round of each, because when you play them together holdem seems kind of tame, a lot less action.
