does this have it's own screen. or is it portable as in a device that plays dvds but is small enough to be called portable that needs to be connected to tv.

Why do people call a DVD Player with no screen "portable?"
All DVD Players are portable i.e. you can pick them up and bring anywhere.
The one Dunnes are selling may be smaller but it still doesn't have a screen
which is what I would consider needed for it to be called "portable".
It's still a good price at 50 Euro but I wouldn't call it "portable".

they have two on sale they have a maxim one and a techtronix or somethin too. They have had them since b4 xmas for sale. They are very small and the both of them play cd/cdrw/photo cd/mp3/dvdr+- and as far as i know the maxim one anyway is region free! they still have some in the downstairs food dept of stephens green Dunnes and the other shops have them too. they are all in the food Dept at checkouts or home electrical sections
