I suddenly had an urge to boot this game up... Godzilla attacked me at the start. Now I feel responsible for the safety of the civies. How I liked this game.
Not long after I took this shot, Godzilla went straight for the power plant. :(
I will help these people out and get them a nice waterfront...

Any fans of this gem? :)

Today I booted up Amiga Elite.... 8 Hours later and I'm rated "above average". My ship is now ready for those less savvy planets. Galaxy one is almost completely visited and Lave is now nearly 80 lys away. Time to kick in the HyperGalactic Hyperdrive Scotty! :)

Actually I tried the C64 version for 10 mins and I nearly went blind because of the slow screen update and unresponsive keys. I think the Spectrum version was slightly faster. Anyone favour the PC version of Elite (Plus)?

Good old elite I used to love it so much playing it on my first PC of all things.

Actually a guy called AMIGER added to the original game. He put in 2 new types of craft and a couple of upgrades (ie a handy laser cooler and a heavy miltary laser) and lower the no. of points required for ELITE STATUS. One nice addition was to color each world in the game according to the map. Pointless but nevertheless interesting changes...

A search can be done for it on Amiga Boards.

Gimme SimCity2000 anyday! Even SimCity (on the PC) was better than the one posted, and SimCity sucked.

Ahhhh... one remembers that the days of 486, when the opening video from "Flashback" was considered "cool", and "futuristic"... those were the days, alright.
