Frankly i find this extremely disturbing.

The incredible paradox of all this is America is hailed universally as the 'land of the free', 'home of democracy', 'truth and justice' etc. etc.. while being ruled by the moneyed.

What's worse is your average jo (or jolene!) just doesn't give a damn. The vast majority of the US are quite happy to suck up and regurgitate the retoric as long as their own day to day lives don't suffer.
