Quick question, what is the best graphics card out there these days? What have nvidia churned out that can crunch ten billion calculations a second or what not?

i'm not entirely up with gfx cards atm as to which is better but the two best offerings at the moment is

    Geforce 6800 ULTRA
    Radeon x800xt PE

The X850XT PE is the fastest single card from the benchmarks I have seen but it ain't available yet will be soon. The fastest option is two Nvidia 6800 Ultra's in SLI not much faster than the X850XT PE but it is the fastest. But getting 2 6800 Ultra's with an sli motherboard is easiar said than done and alot dearer.

Tom's Hardware have a roundup of what's currently on offer here. If you really need the best available (i.e. for more than just gaming) you could look at Nvidias Quadro series of workstation cards, ATi probably have a similar line aswell.
