With all the problems in the world today you'd think animal rights might be a little lower on the list, but not for these hippies which seem to think bothering little children will force Burger King to only buy from suppliers that treat animals "nicer" before they are slaughtered like the pigs they are, literally.

Now if you don't want to eat meat for whatever reason that's fine. In fact if it leaves more meat for me it's probably a good thing. However pushing your hippie ideas on other people and their children when all there're trying to do is eat a decent 3.95 meal is not. This is the type of altitude which causes so many of the worlds problems. I think eating meat is wrong so no one should be eating meat, I think my religion is right so everyone must know of it, I think my culture is better than yours so you have to learn about it ect... People have come to believe that their ideas are so important they have the right to push them on anyone and everyone around them. In the end this type of attitude is what causes backlash against the very thing they were trying to promote. For example after reading that article Here I'm not going to stop eating meat, my main source of protein, how stupid would that be? But I will laugh in the face of any do-gooder hippie that tells me eating meat is wrong as they pump vitamins into his weak crippled body in order to restore the lack of protein you can only get from meat. Don't even bring up all that genetically altered crap please.

Aren't you missing the point somewhat ?

Quote "PETA's international campaign targets Burger King for its refusal to take even minimal steps to ensure that its suppliers do not skin and dismember conscious animals, starve hens for up to two weeks to force them to produce more eggs, or cut off the beaks of baby chicks with a hot blade".

Eating meat is fine. Torturing it first is a little off.

personally , I'm not really an animal rights
person (I agree with the "be nice to animals" ethos - so long as I don't have to do anything)

but taking children to macdonalds or burger king is just wrong - why not just cram greasy woodchippings in their mouths at home?

    its faster and cheaper.

    My point is this !

I dont condone the way these people treat the animals, infact I think its a bit sick!! The thing that irks me is the fact that some of these people feel the need to shove their anti meat ethos up your nose when u are just trying to eat a burger!!

Im not on any particular side here, I just dont like being made feel guilty for eating meat !!

What's this all about? I had a BK yesterday evening in Waterloo Station for the first time in ages, and wasn't accosted by any dreadlocked smelly types with dogs on string and facial piercings...

The poor dogs! I suprised they're allowed peirce their faces. And then they have the cheek to give out about cruelty to animals.

I actually like PETAs campaigns - especially the ones against fur where they get a bunch of models to declare "I'm not wearing anything so I don't have to wear fur".
