    Unraised pots
Lets say you limp in with J9s in the small blind..all 6 players see the flop
    which comes 7 6 Jrainbow. It's checked to you..Action????????

    Betting Draws!!
playing .50/1 ladbrokes.6seaters.I used to bet my draws. Now usually check- call.
Why. Because at these tables your fold equity is low. also they tend
to not bet/ or bet fair to little, hence giving you correct odds...
    but is it too passive???
    Anyone think differently on this???

Bet 3 and see what action you get. You need to bet to see where you are imho and you need to bet an amount that will find that out but that you can also walk away from. Ok, so you are giving all the drawers the right odds to call but anyone holding AJ KJ etc will be sure to shut that down and would probably reraise you.
I've stopped playing hands like Q9 and J8 in cash games as the truth is that without a mutant flop (JJ8 etc) you simply arent going to win much with these hands. Either you hit and win the pot with your tester bet or you get reraised and suddenly are most likely behind. There just isnt the strength in your hand to force the pot up to a decent amount. If the pot has been bet up to a big total, then you probably shouldnt be there!! :)

    Just my 2c.

Optium play is determined by the table your at, if you are lucky enough to be at a table bad enough to not charge you when you have a draw and pay you off when you hit, then go for it. Dont worry about being passive, but realise that you wont be able to play like that always.

The 1st hand, I would usually check, and then maybe call a bet from a late position better and reevaluate on turn, check and then fold (default action) or bet out right away. This hand in this position is worth very little money, and betting and getting called usually means giving it up on the turn or river anyway.

    Thanks Guys..

Yes I am leaning towards the checking the flop bet the turn, AKA stop and go. I reckon you want to play a small pot in an unraised pot with top pair bad kicker.
Strange I often try to steal pots with nothing against 3 opponents but with a hand against five opponents I play dead..

    Ta again for the advice.
