So what did you all make of this one? I really really enjoyed it - very old skool! It could easily have fit in a few years earlier in many respects. Everyone played a good role and Maybourne is always welcome.

I was watching the episode and thinking that, fun as Maybourne is, he only really sparks when he's got Jack around to bounce off. And lo and behold O'Neill gates in on an excuse that actually fitted logically into the story. "God I miss going off world" - indeed! And this was intelligent Jack too - not the stupid Jack hovering around S5/6. He brought up quite intelligent arguements about prophecy and yet still had time for the sarcasm - "If I had a nickel..." when he's surrounded AGAIN by villager. Heh :D

Daniel, Carter, and Teal'c all did their roles well as historian/scientist/rebel and nobody felt neglected.

If I must have a criticism, is that Ares ship was taken out a tad too easily. Still it's midly plausible that the Ancients ship could take them out pretty easily, guided by Jack's inante sense of where to shoot.

I'm very surprised that this story had four peopel behind it because it felt extremely coherent. Well done. A lot of fun.

My guess is that it was, but before the final scene.

Would have been nice to see it though.

I'm also assuming they took it back but that we just didn't see it. I fully expect we'll see mention of this ship at a later point, probably next season.

    Mega spoiler here.
It's used in the season finale, in both timelines.

    what a\ngry said

one of thebest moments in SG1 was season 4 i belive possibly season 3 its a 2 parter called jolinars memories and its based on the moon orbiting sokars home planet.

when nelonack says "From this day forth i shall be knows as nelonack no longer from this day forth i shall rexclaim my real name, Apophis" one of the best scenes in all of SG1

Apophis is like the smoking man from x-files they killed him off and the rarings slided he was a loved charactor i hope sg1 bring apophis back

I really liked this one. Just the way maybourne told a load of lie's that seemingly work out well for him. But in the end Jack and SG1 have to come and save him. A very well acted ep. Very enjoyable.

If you remember from Atlantis the jumper was distroyed in orbit. But the Ancient who made the time traval device was told to distroy he research. How ever he didn't. Which would sujest that he remade the device.

I for one cant wait to see how the rest of the two seasons work out.

Hmmm. The jumper that Weir travelled in was destroyed, but I assume another one would have existed back in the Ancient-era Atlantis which could have been taken back to Earth? Its immaterial really - it could be either the original, or a newly constructed model.

The finales are going to be very interesting anyway.
