For some reason avg update is not workin and I have a feeling it's zonealarm's fault. when i had the zonealarm pro trial it worked fine but now that i have the basic za it seems to be conflicting. I tried allowing everything to do with avg but it hasn't seemed to work. I can't take down the firewall because im on a static always-on connection... Anybody got any suggestions plz?

Btw the error i get is check your internet connection... This is functioning so it must be zonealarm?

    I have the same setup.

    Does updating work manually?

avg update is acting wanky today for some reason.
i've been using it for the past few weeks with standard zonealarm without any problems

AVG has upgraded to version 7.0.3 for the free edition. All versions below this are not supported since jan 1. Just download the new version and reinstall. It's the same as before...

i got it to work there... tried to keep going to update manager, update, internet, and clicked the update. Seemed to be hit or miss imo... Surely it should work first time if you configure the firewall? Anyone else got some experience with this?

i guess their servers are getting hammered at the moment...
i had 3 available updates and i chose the bottom one (optional)
it updated avg to 7.0.300 then (after closing the connection a few times)
