More EGO Laptop madness!

    Hey everyone!

    I've noticed a lot of people on Boards have bought an Ego Laptop from aldi. It was a great deal! I got mine a few months ago, and have'nt had a single problem... until a few days before christmas! :(

    Ya see folks, i spilled a stinkin glass of water over it! And now the half the keys on the keyboard have since stopped working. I've tried everything to fix it :( Hair dryers, radiators, errr... blow jobs, the works! Still nothin!

    Has anyone had any experience dealing with a replacement from Gericom? I understand it came with a 24 month insurance policy, from Gericom. But the details of this are very scarce on the web site. Do any of u guys think this will cover me for a replacement, especially when it was damaged as a result of my own stupity and butter fingers! :o

    Don't know anything about Gericom or their warranties but generally, accidental/physical damage is not covered under manufacturer's warranties. Do you have extra insurance or house insurance to cover it?
