    i want to enable usb 2.0 on my new board but am stuck oh dial-up.can i get a small download for this or anyone know a magazine that's got it included

    You can order Service pack 2 on CD from Microsoft and they will send you a free CD. As far as I know it includes everything to date including service pack 1. Its worth doing anyway because service pack 2 plugs a tonne of security loopholes.

    As for getting the USB 2 driver on its own - some motherboard manufacturers actually give this for download on their website. I don't think they are supposed to for llicensing reasons but some do. I managed to download a USB 2 driver for my Aopen motherboard from Microstar international (I found it under the support files for an MSI motherboard that had the same VIA chipset). My chipset is the ancient Via KT4 so I doubt if that is any use to you but the same trick mught work again if you know the name of your chipset.
