Actually, the only film that has ever really scared me was Pinocchio (the animated one).

I first seen it when I was around 2 and the scene where Pinocchio was kidnapped by that russian guy honestly scared me

Most people have become desensitised to fear in movies, computer game, tv etc

Silent Hill was a fuc|<ing disturbing game- scared the crap out of me. The other two games I would point out are Nocturne (gr8 postmodern horror style) and most recently Clive Barker's undying. The latter is the most frightening game I have *ever* played- including Nocturne and System Shock 2. I deliberately omit Resident Evil (thereby leaving myself open to flames) as I dislike the 3rd-person view and the pop-corn attitude taken towards the horror. Having said that, RE 1 was a good game.

As for what scares me irl...just one name:

R Evil 1 scared the bejesus outta me when i played it for the first time alone in my darkned room at night. ! ****ing loved it! especially when i had no ammo except a few clips and i had to go back into the house from killing the plant. Remember the cut scene showing the hunters?

BTW silent hill wasnt scary just utter ****e and too easy and boring to play. It mostly was running round pointless empty buildings, stabbing little gnome people with a rusty knife. Music in it was some goth crap too

Hights scare me but not that much I enjoy the felling I get when I’m up really high. I especially enjoy that irrational fear you get when you know your safe but your really really high up. I just get a adrenaline buzz e.g. the Tate Modern has a window on about the 4th floor that looks down on the interior ground floor ,its a long glass wall, I lay up agents it and looked down and I couldn’t help feeling like the window was going to brake and id fall to my death (super).
