    Hi

Got another quote from Marx after sending 'polite' email about his view on Athlon CPU and gave me the below quote

    - AMD Athlon 64 3000+ (So754)
    - Black 350W ATX Case
    - 512MB DDR-RAM
    - 64MB Geforce MX4000 graphics card
    - DFI K8T800Pro-ALF So754 motherboard
    (5.1 Sound + Lan + USB2 + Firewire + S-ATA on board)
    - 160GB Hard Drive UDMA100, 7200rpm
    - Floppy Drive
    - 16x48x DVD-Rom
    - 16x DVD-/+R/RW/DL
    - Wireless Keyboard & Mouse
    - 200W Speakers
    - 17" CRT Monitor
    Price: Eur 875 incl. VAT

Will be using it for Internet, email & Burning DVD's Music and Image Files

Need Floopy drive as other half has loads of files saved on them
Have Windows XP Pro and other applications on existing PC so dont require them
Do all DVD RW support Buffer underrun and is the above a decent one ?

Your Views, modifications and is it worth it ?

Tried Elara and Komplett but looking for a PC I can buy from from front desk and pay by laser & cash

    Cheers

it's an ok machine. is that price including the os? the main thing that caught my eye was the graphics card, it's pretty pathetic. even a 9200 would be better choice.

Nah it does not include an OS have XP Pro at home so can use that

What Graphics card would you recommend ? Not using it for any Gaming so looking for something basic but not s**t

    Any modifications required....??

Again dont want a big MF machine just one thats above the Norm

Looks good to me, reasonable price, dont see the point in both a DVD writer and reader tho, the writer will read them too. Yep, crap graphics card, but its fine if you wont be doing any gaming. In the future if you do take an interest in gaming it would be a simple 200 euro graphics card upgrade, nice solid system.

Was looking for a Dual Disk drive so I can copy one Cd onto another without having to transfer it to the Hard drive

128MB Radeon 9200SE for extra Eur 17 incl

    Worth gettting this ?
