In truth its Que (or ueen) and Paul Rogers. By fluke I caught the bit where they played in the UK Hall of Fame, and for me it was great seeing the 3 guys (including Deacy!) playing. Not sure if Deacy is actually confirmed on the tour that's another issue. Now I'm not saying Paul Rogers isn't good, maybe it'll be a different dynamic and maybe still a great show - but I can't help feeling that it'll be a disappointment - the dynamic of Queen coming from all 4 original members and in a live settings Freddie was just incredible. Paul may be incredible but it'll be a different sort of incredible? So I'm sort of "Doing All Right" about it - any comments/thoughts/feelings/rants?

I just think it's great that Brian May is going out and playing live again. He's an awesome guitarist, and it's a shame he stopped when Freddie had to.

Maybe they should tour under a different name, but they'll make more money being called Queen, so why not?

No way, pure money spinner. The Mercury/May combo was legendary. It's a pure money spinner, and i lost respect for May when he played We Will Rock You with 5ive.

Having been a long-time Queen fan, and being in a position to remember what they were truly capable of live (Slane '86), I'm personally sickened by the latter day of antics of May and Taylor.
It appears that all they are interested in these days is making money off the back of a long-dead (pardon the pun) group.
Queen the opera, Queen will rock you, Queen live at Milton Keynes (albeit an excellent show), Queen the guitar, Queen the burger franchise, and now the (faux) Queen tour.

Who is this Paul Rogers guy anyway? A has-been, just like May and Taylor.
The audacity of the man, thinking he could replace Mercury.
Although I'm sure May and Taylor would gladly dispense with his services if they could find a legal way to dig up Freddie's corpse and wheel it out on stage.

I hope John Deacon retains his integrity and stays away from this "project".

Apparently this Rogers guy was the singer with Bad Company and Free...couldn't be THAT bad i guess. I agree with Chessington on this, they spiralled downwards in my eyes after doing the rather poor rendition of one of their classics with those bloody tossers 5ive.

I am keeping my powder dry on this for now. Not sure about the money-spinning. Where can you see some footage of them? I heard they were on some award show or something. Paul Rodgers could be great, but he operates in a very different range. A pure rock singer. Plus you would get some Free/Bad Company songs. Not all bad. Downside is they all look so damn old.
