    Ok
I downloaded a movie file from the internet, went to play it in media player and it wouldnt play, well the sound plays but only the opening picture shows. Then i went to open it in quicktime and the video played but the sound did not!! Has this ever happened to anyone out there?? Any solutions?? Apart from play them both cause you cant open the same file twice!! Any help would be great!

you need the latest codecs i dont know where you get em i just get them off the servers in work (guy gets them all the time) PM me if you want the newest codec bundle (with e-mail)

you are probably missing a codec (file that allows a video and sound to be played) there are so many codec's that it's uncertain to which one you need.

google a program called gspot >> download it >> install >> point it towards the video file >> then google the codec that gspot tells you >> download codec

well the program i use for downloading includes a full codec bundle maybe it needs to upgrade itself! Anyways i thought about it and its so easy just copy the file and paste and it will be a separate file so I can play both of them. Simple as that. So I will have the video from one and the sound from the other. Thanks for your help guys. I'll still get the codec's update.

That's quite a peculiar way of getting around it :)

Will there not be a lag in video vs Sound (people moving the lips and nothing comming out for a sec or 2)

    k-lite? :)

Be very careful of googling for that. There are many scam sites. It is a free codec pack. You do not have to register and you do not have to pay anyone anything so don't fall into that trap.
