I asked some guy who was stacking DVD's for Metallica and to my surprise he hands me a copy of Cliff 'Em All on DVD, which I didn't even know existed on DVD. On the way home, can't wait to watch it, It had a few live bootlegs of Cliff including For Whom The Bell Toll's in '85 which used to be shown on Scuzz. I get home, put in the DVD player, "ERROR READING DISK. DVD PLAYER IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH REGION OF DISK" I was mortified when I saw this. I had been waiting a year to see this!!!

My sister went into town the next morning, goes into HMV, turned out that the whole shipload of DVD's were all american region Cliff 'Em All's!! this is HMV IN HENRY STREET. So now I've settled for Nine Inch Nails: Live and Robert Plant & Jimmy Page: Unledded

my friend bought this in galway like 2 years ago and the shop assistant told him to buy a region changer disk with it so he did and it works fine. Although, it will be black and white on older tv's. Class DVD though.

I've seen this floating around HMV - Henry St ages ago but wasn't gonna pay €40 just because they threw an import sticker on it.

Really shoulda looked at the back of the disk tho to see where it had region 1 written on it. ;)

    Nero

Got it on VHS back in the 80's, man, I'm old. :D Must watch it again tonight when the missus goes back to the farm for Christmas ;)

Certain DVD players can be... ahem... 'persuaded' to become region free without any hardware jiggerypokery, just with certain combinations of button pressing on the remote. Do a google for it and get that DVD back, Cliff Em All is just ****ing breathtaking.
