Any idea on what to do about it?

Your local authority (Meath County Council) are responsible for rolling out broadband in Meath.
Have a look at the following:

    No way

    No way

No way what? That it was called off or that we're getting broadband?

    Q. Whats the difference between a dead dog on the road and a dead meathman on the road?
    A. There'll be skidmarks in front of the dead dog.

And what has this moment of clarity to do with broadband??

Isnt eircom DSL in Kells and Dunshaughlin?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,715 ✭✭✭marco murphy

Kells, hmm,i live near castletown near nobber, wonder could it br brought to wilkinstown area

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,726 ✭✭✭✭DMC

I'd look up wireless solution rather that wait for DSL. A lot of small villages in Meath simply wont be upgraded for the DSL flavour of broadband.

Its called a joke. Ever hear of them? Well, probably not judging by your answer. Don't go getting all tetchy with me about it, I'm from meath too.
And Poblachtach, that meeting wasn't in the Darnley, it was in Dorans bar.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,715 ✭✭✭marco murphy

Dorans bar ok.Lads dontme fighting next thing the thread will be closed.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 775 ✭✭✭Evilution

Who's fighting dude. I just gave a deliberately purile answer to a naturally purile question. Happens all the time on boards.ie.

Anyway, as far as I know the meeting was called off. Storms and all that. Not sure about rescheduling but I can check when I'm down town next.

Oh god no,the meeting canceled,do you think getting on to local political parties would be an idea?

I think you're the one with an attitude problem here. As for closing the thread - yr not the moderator, chief.

And regarding net1, you want to be really desperate to get broadband from those cowboys. I know a guy in Laytown that uses them and has had nothing but trouble, and when he DARED to slag them off on here, got a threatening email from the company!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,715 ✭✭✭marco murphy

I have no attitude problem here, maybe you should read my closing thread sentence again, and again.I said if the mods see rows they might close it,whats the problem with that. Why an attitude problem???

Your sarcasm is of the LIDL variety; bargain basement, cheap and imported. Don't hurt yourself using it now

Ok, well if you're NOT being sarky, then can you try writing your posts a lil' bit more user-friendly. They read sarcastically to me and I've got a low tolerance for sark.
Do you live near the Darnley?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 775 ✭✭✭Evilution

    ok Folks, Time Out!!!!!

    Well done, locked.

Any more outta either of you pair, and bannage will ensue.
