Cif Bang(name?)

Hi,
Does anyone know where I can get that Cif Bang cleaner that cleans pennies and stuff? I'm in the dublin region, tried about 5 tescos, a dunnes and a few more. I saw it somewhere before but forget where. I think it may have been tesco but they dont seem to have it anymore:(
Anyone know any chain shop that stocks it?

Apparently it is not all its cracked up to be and there has been a lot of complaints. It not just takes the dirt off some things, it has done some other damage to surfaces too. Maybe that is why it is not being stocked. Get yourself a dishcloth and a bucket of hot soapy water and you'll do just as well.

I wouldn't think so. You can put a coin into Coca-Cola and it'll clean it just as well Buy your friend a bottle of that. Better still, buy him the dishcloth.

Try Superquinn, we some a few weeks ago there - and it's Cillit, not Cif.

It's bullshít. Cillit bang is just moderately diluted acid of some type - hmmm, not sure which, doesn't say on the bottle.
Oh, sure, it'll clean a penny, but it leaves a pink tinge on it....
And yes, it's a bad idea to use it on certain surfaces... like most laminates... and certain metals... (steel seems to be ok, works well on brass, does bad things to copper).

Damn, I bought some for my sister 'cause she's a clean freak, like Monica on Friends only worse. Maybe she can pour it down the toilet and use it as bleach substitute?

It was a joke present though, just to píss her off but I know she'd be happy with it too. I bought her a real present aswell, in case anyone think's I'm being a cheapskate.

As for where to buy, I got it in Tesco.

My friends father is a pharmacist and he said he'd bet theres hydrochloric acid in it. He said there has to be a really harsh chemical in it for the cent in the add to go like that.
Maybe its peoples own fault they fcukd up their baths etc, as it does say on the pack your only supossed to leave it on for a minute...

Yup, although coke will dissolve a tooth over night it doesn't do much for the taste and the sugar in it is just as sticky. Hmm, I wonder if diet coke has potential..
