I know this might not be the correct forum but it fashion related (sort of)...

I bought a new shirt in River Island last week to go with a trousers I had bought the week before; but when I brought it home it didnt really go with the trousers.

I want to change the shirt for another one but I cant for the life of me find the receipt anywhere! The shirt still has its tags intact, so will River Island be able to exchange it for me?

I know legally they dont have to - but do they usually do it out of goodwill?

Usually they'll exchange it or give you a credit note. You won't get a refund though. I'd say you'll have no problem if all tags are still on :D

I'd imagine that they will change it for you all right. Stores like that tend to be very reasonable.

But on the other hand, if they are mad busy with the Xmas rush, they may not want to be bothered with returns - they might be more receptive to helping you out after things calm down in January.

It was actually fairly quiet in there - no hassle getting parking either which was a relief!

never been to the one on Grafton St but you're right, the one in Arnotts is rubbish - the lads dept is tiny. Liffey Valley is the best one Ive seen for guys in the country!

Its so pokey isnt it, and no matter where youre looking, youre always in someones way! I was in there a few days ago and the queue was comming right back outta the shop into the department where they have all the bed linen n stuff!

I'm hardly ever in Liffey Valley, is it bigger than grafton st?
