This one has bugged me for years

As a teenager/early 20s I was urged by those who knew me that hitch-hiking was dangerous [I used frequently thumb lifts around the country]

My friends who had cars were also told that picking up hitch-hikers was also dangerous.

surely both theories can't be right?

Had this theory when I was a kid - was shocked tbh. Now I only pick up hitchiker's 'coz I can't even afford LIDL chicken. You may laugh - but a parsnip gravy does go exceedingly well with human flesh

of course both theories can be true...sure ANY human interaction is dangerous, everyone is nuts...why else do you think boards is so popular?
