Aw, pity he deleted it. After I trawled through it, it actually was quite good.
(Hmm, is it some sort of grammatical error to write "it, it"?)

And the ironic thing is, you called her a "silly 13 year old", yet, you used the, well, quite childish word "silly"... :D

    Definitely not!

Is "willy" just a childish word or do we ever grow up? Methinks no!
We have a developed society here - and technology!!!!! - can't think of one example of a "childish" "word" (teknos = Child (Greek) - Logos (Word) likewise). Languages bleed into oneanother.

When a word is used (exclusively) by children. As soon as they become parents that word is part of the language and ceases to be a childish word.

Even if a word isn't in the dictionary it will eventually make it there if it survives - even if it is a bullsh!t word based upon slang (from any language) it can still make its way into "any" language.

There are countless comedy shows to demonstrate that we never grow up - eg. "Malcolm in the Middle". I really don't believe that any word can be labelled "Copyright children under 10" - or even childish tbh!

I don't believe any word is childish - as adults we just have a bigger arsenal of words- and "pooh", "willy" etc can still be delivered at corporate level to hammer points home when giving the spiel - if you have done your homework - and have worked out what you can get away with (very precisely)

There are no childish words imho!

One question i really want answered:
Whats the story with dreams? Are they there to predict the future or analyse the past or what. And why do we have them - they're hardly necessary for human survival are they?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 674 ✭✭✭spunkymunky

Maybe there something to keep us occupied while we sleep.

If mondays werent there would we complain about tuesday mornings, with the likes of "I hate tuesdays", etc.?

Yuo can find the answer to that with a simple google search...not exactly a tough one. The whole brain doesnt shut down when we go asleep , it keeps thinking..or 'dreaming'

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,604 ✭✭✭blondie83

Yes but I want to know is why it doesn't shut down, and why the "awakeness" of the brain manifests itself in dreams. I'm presuming the images in dreams come from places we've seen or whatever, but where do the sstorylines (for want of a better word) come from?

Ever said to yourself.. "i wish i...." maybe your dream is acting out a version of that wish that takes into account the things you have seen. Maybe thats why the strangest things appear.
