Work my ass off nights and weekends for a measly 50 squids extra and I get paid 20 pound less! This is a ****ing joke. There should be more tax brackets to avoid this sort of ****e.

If I wasn't a student and able to claim back my tax I'd be really ****ed off.

Thats emergency tax, you should only be loosing about twenty quid off your Groos Pay, coz I'm a student and on around the same amount so get it sorted.

How the f ck could you be on that high a tax bracket with those tiny earnings.

The story I'm getting now is that I can claim the tax back when I go back to college, but this is ridiculous. I'll be having words with the tax man first thing monday morning

I've just run through a big pile of TAX mess - I got £700 las month for wages!!! WTF! Anyway, it turns out my company never sent back my P45 and so I was on emergency tax (messy). It's all gonna be sorted in a couple of days when I get paid (and will be getting the remainder of what I'm owed).

I've had the opposite happen to me - as far as I can make out they undercharged me for tax last month and I got an extra £400.

Rest assured Draco that they will notice and charge you for it eventually.

I was undercharged tax in the 1992/93 tax year and in 1996 they noticed and I had to pay the balance then (over the year).

So don't spend that 400 quid just yet
