    .....talking about what some guy said to us in the pub last night.....

    I'm sure everybody has heard all the wild rumors going around in the tabloid press and by word of mouth about pagan worship\witchcraft\satanism in the east of the country. I've heard everything from massive orgies to sacrificing live children.

    I was talking to a guy from WIT last night and he claims to have seen a bunch of people dancing naked around a bonfire! He drinks a lot eek.gif

    The thing is, when you hear that many rumors about something, there's usually about a 50th of them true.

    Does anyone have the "true story" or at least some entertaining wild rumors

    Actually I recall hearing of Pagan rituals happening out in Howth hill, though never seen anything and I don't recall anyone being naked. Though you know what those people from Howth are like. wink.gif

    These rumours have been in the tabloid once a year or so for as long as I can remember. There was supposedly a coven that sacraficed a donkey by Fota Wildlife park, a few more covens in Wexford and others scattered around the country.

    I think it was usually put down to some kids p!ssing about most of the time.
