Memory Stick Duo Question

    Hi,

50MB has gone missing on my memory stick duo. I have explored the entire card through my bluetooth places and have deleted every file on the card, bar the root folders. It's a 128MB card but the contents is being reported as 71MB. I think I need to reformat the card. Does anyone know how I'd go about this? Is it as simple as putting the card into a card reader/writer, right-clicking on the drive and click format? Or does it require a special application to format it?

    Thanks.

Yep - just stick it in a card reader and format it. Probably a bad FAT table.

Depending on the device it is to go into it may want FAT 16 / FAT 32 or it's own proprietry (sp?) file format. Either way, most (if not all) devices can format cards to their own liking.

Thanks for the reply. Should have said that it's for a Sony Ericsson S700i.

Does anyone know if SE phones use FAT32 or some other SE specific format which requires an application to format it? I know that a P900 or P910 can format it. Any kind souls with a P900/910 willing to format my memory stick if I can't find a solution???? :D
