Well we all know michael is still hungry for it and with the backing and money they have it will be hard to beat, but i hope jordan do well this year because god knows they need it.

Schumacher will win it...
Watch out for villeneuve's mind-games though, being in an uncompetitive car wont stop him psyching out other drivers for fun. Fisichella will have a rock solid season and will probably win one. Coulthard will be a f*cking laughing stock again. He'll be out-done by whoever his team-mate is. Jordan will start badly, improve, and string some solid results towards the end. Ferrari will win constructors again with BAR second but jenson will under-achieve. I couldnt believe sato's luck last year, had he had a car that didnt blow up he would have beaten jenson on more than one occasion. He takes risks and he's charismatic. jens, i hate to say is dull as dishwater which is why i'd rate sato for a win above him (provided his car holds up), he'll take risks to win. We'll probably see a shock win somewhere along the line too. maybe sauber or toyota will steal one under heavy rain (i'd like to say jordan but i dunno about the time they have to build a chassis around a new engine. hopefully mark smith can get the job done and lets see glock in a race seat at least and someone established, no more rookies please). So there you go, place your bets :) if i have any tips mid-season i'll post them. last year i had funny feelings about 3 races... i thought trulli when i thought monaco. i thought raikkonen when i thought belgium and i thought montoya when i thought brazil. but i dont gamble unfortunately... was gonna stick money on trulli but it seemed like such a long shot.

I think williams downfall will be the Montoya/Kimi pairing. You must have a clear winner. Problem is these two drivers will be too usy taking points from each other... meanwhile schumi will steal the show. Again.

Two words...............MICHAEL SCHUMACHER

Hard to see anyone taking it off Schumi this year.

Marc Webber should be on that poll though, he's finally got his chance to really shine and I think he'll do gret things this season. He's my pick for next World Champion, probably not this year though.

I really don't rate Kimi that highly. Anybody would look good compared to DC. And in his first season with Sauber he was not at all better than Nick Heidfeld(who as far as I remember was also in his first season), Kimi just got a lucky break and got put into a top car, most of the drivers on the grid would have picked up as many points as he has if they were driving a McLaren. Not to say he's a bad driver, he's just not exceptional.
Montoya is potentially faster but he's very inconsistent. Not sure how he'd settle in at McLaren, but I reckon he and Kimi will take points off eachother and won't be challenging for the championship. Apart from Ferrari, I think Webber and Alonso are the people to look out for.

Have heard good things about the development of BAR's new car, but I just don't see them challenging, smaller teams sometimes hit upon a great car(Jordan in 99) but they rarely last as consistently as the works teams and Williams and McLaren.

With regard to Nick Heidfeld, it was his first season with Sauber in 2001, but he had driven with Prost the previous year, so his second season overall.

What Kersh said!!

If Kimi gets a decent car under him for the season he'll have the best chance of beating Michael. While JPM will have the same car he's a bit too volatile and inconsistent to win the championship- at least this year!

Juan Pablo is THE MAN, if there ever was anyone out there to kick Michaels ass then its JPM, hes completely fearless and when hes on it hes untouchable.

The Kimi and JPM dogfight might actually raise McLarens game and drag tehm closer to Ferrari.

Hopefully FIA will level the playing field a bit so theres a more teams goin for victories. Webber will finally get a car wothy of his talent and expect him to shine. Ralf will moan/crash alot and the Brits will applaud Jenson and he still wont win. Average compintent journeyman driver at best.

Expect Alonso, Fittipaldi and Trulli to shine occasionally. And JV to moan and crash alot, he really is in for the money stopped racing years ago .Sunday Driver.

Can't see anyone beating Michael this year. I don't reckon that McLaren will have put enough into the car to make it much closer to Ferrari, and while I rate Webber highly I don't think that williams will be quick enough to catch Michael either.
Hopefully it won't be too much of a walkover though.

Id say it will be Michael again this year but by not as big a margin! But having said that the other team bosses reckon Ferrari might have something special with their new car this year becuase of its late launch and race debut so it could be another clean sweep!

Looks like everyone thinks Schumi is going to walk it again, in Which case you may be interested in putting your money on some of these more interesting F1 specials that I spotted on the www.gamebookers.ie site. Usually a soccer punter myself but I fancy the "Jenson Button to win at least one GP in 2005 3/5" and "David Coulthard to get at least one podium place in 2005 4/1" myself.

Have a look and see if you think theres any value, not sure if many people actually bet on F1.

Fast Brits
Jenson Button to win at least one GP in 2005 3/5
David Coulthard to win at least one GP in 2005 16/1
David Coulthard to get at least one podium place in 2005 4/1
Any British F1 driver to win at Silverstone in 2005 14/1
How will the British drivers perform in 2005?

Busy Times
Any driver to finish all 19 races of the 2005 season. 5/2
Any driver to finish in the points zone in all 19 races of 2005. 13/2
Any driver to finish on podium all 19 races of the 2005 season. 50/1
Any driver to win all 19 races in 2005. 500/1
Will someone be capable of setting new records?

F1 flyers
Less than 4 different drivers to win a GP in 2005 2/1
4-6 different drivers to win a GP in 2005 11/20
7 or more different drivers to win a GP in 2005 7/1
How will Formula One drivers split the 19 pieces of this year’s much desired pie?

F1 Drivers' Championship 2005
Michael Schumacher (Ferrari) 11/20
Kimi Raikkonen (McLaren) 6/1
Juan Pablo Montoya (McLaren) 6/1
Rubens Barrichello (Ferrari) 8/1
Jenson Button (BAR-Honda) 15/1
Fernando Alonso (Renault) 15/1
Mark Webber (Williams) 20/1
Ralf Schumacher (Toyota) 33/1
Takuma Sato (BAR-Honda) 50/1
Jarno Trulli (Toyota) 100/1
