Road Accident Deaths from 1987 to 1999:
462, 463, 460, 478, 445, 415, 431, 404, 437, 453, 472, 458, 413

Anybody see the pattern there? Like the fact that these are not increasing? In spite of the fact that there are 50% more cars on the road, and the number of miles travelled per vehicle has probably also increased?

Hey, don't get me wrong: I don't believe that there is any acceptable number of deaths. I just hate being lied to. Am I right in assuming that there's been a 33% drop in road deaths over that period per vehicle as a result?

Well given that 53% of people fail ther driving test, under 50% of people in ireland have passed the Driving test + all the new roads help to stop thick gits killing them selfs and outer people, + the new cars on the road help to save lives and most of the very old unsafe cars are off the road

Plus the fact that it's very hard to hit anything when your stuck in traffic, which these days is most of the time.
