Does anyone know how a pregnancy test works? Like how do you know if its positive or negative by the colours in the boxes?? Does 2 lines mean positive and 1 line negative or vice versa.
    Advice greatly appreciated!!

They work by measuring the amount of HGC its the hormone produced when a woman becomes pregnant other than that each one is different, some display a line others a dot etc.

I'm not sure but they may be different depending on brands. Do you know what brand it is?

I'm not sure what brand it is Gordon. I know some of them have a PLUS that colours blue if you are pregnant and some have boxes but she is being very weird over it. Thanks!

Solution to your problem: go to a pharmacy yourself, buy a pregnancy test kit, ask how it works, get your ex to take the test that you bought.

    Then you'll know.

All pregnancy tests are different. You will really need to know the brand. Preferable be with her when she gets the result. It is very rare to get a false positive but not a false negative. With some you have one line that shows the test has been done right and it is negative if nothing appears in the second box. Two lines then would be pregnant. Another brand you have a minus and a plus. Another that says "pregnant" or "not pregnant". All depends on the brand so can't really answer your question but best of luck to you.
