I voted it as a good episode. I enjoy the episodes with the replicators and this is no exception. I liked evil Carter, something different. It will be interesting to see how it develops from here with that storyline. Got to go, atlantis is on.

    Definitely not.

Thought it was a great episode.
It never even occured to me that Replicater Carter was playing both sides.
    Fantastic.

Good ep bit of a hurried end to 5th though also was i hearing things or did the asguard give the humans an advanced hyper drive? Might as well just build them a ship with all the free advanced technology their handing out weapons shields engines transporters etc thats some handy alliance to have!.

Well they did save their entire race from extinction?
    err... more than once, too.

Good point but why don’t the asguard just give earth a few of those fancy asguard warships? and be done with it even 2 or 3 of those would insure earths future and security

Well originally they couldn't spare it due to the Asgard's fight against the replicators. Remember that the original Asgard treaty, protecting Earth, was nothing more than a bluff that Baal eventually called.

I quite enjoyed tonight's episode. On one hand I enjoyed Fifth (Fifth<Six though) and I didn't like to see him disposed of so quickly. On the other hand, I didn't see EvilCarter's plot. I honestly thought she was trying to fool Fifth alone and on the side of the good guys. To see she was a conquering bitch was well cool AND she got away - yay!

Also some nice little extra details such as the Alpha Site and the X302. Where the heck was Michael Shanks though?

Didnt think he was disposed that quickly, he has been around for approx a season now and he was only really a symbol of the replicators, hardly necessary. And I much prefer Evil Carter to Fifth, in every sense ;)

Pretty much exactly my train of thought. It seemed so obvious, too. Damn them and their sneakiness. Nice how she just detached her arm and I really liked how Carter knew exactly what she did, because thats what she would do! Fantastic writing, imho.

Yeah, the whole way after we're told Fifth is on his way, we were saying "Well they cant destroy Fifth so early in the season. BUT they just got the new Alpha Site!" Funny how it turned out, in the end. They could kill Fifth, really didnt see that coming.

One of the best episodes, so far this season or perhaps its just because it was so long since the last episode :o

As said -ending was a bit weak for a storyline that had such a twist.
The hyper drive - does that mean SGA and SG-1 meeting up on a more permanent basis. Il just pop to Atlnatis for tea?

Never saw the evil Carter bit very nice, otherwise it was only fair.
I would have shot her the instant she stepped throught the gate.
My opinion dont understand it get rid of it and shoot first ask questions later.

It was my unserstanding that Anubis called the bluff first

    He attacke dearth several times

once with anchient gate make blow up weaopon
once by trying to slam a massive naquada astroid into earth
once by attacking earth with the full force of his fleet.

There has been something that has been puzzling me.
SGC asked the Asguard for a satellite of theirs and presumably SGC told the Asguard that a replicator was on the planet and that they needed the satellite incase Fifth came. Now the Asguard are a highly intelligent race, don't you think that they might of jetted to the Alpha Site themselves just incase Fifth did arrive so that they can be of assistance or that they themselves would of liked to get hold of Evil Carter. They certainly would not of just given them the satellite and tell them to have fun with one of the human forms of the replicators.

Yeah that bugged me a little too D-Generate, in that I expected Thor to physically show up. Not really sure why they had an audio only link rather than the holographic image.

I'm wondering if it's because the Asgard are in trouble elsewhere and can't send the Jackson out to help them? We've seen plenty of situations where they're unable to help out so maybe this is one.

Still... maybe they're just sick of us annoying beings in a different galaxy.

He he, ya bet they are real annoyed - we only saved them like i dunno half a dozen times with 4 people. Least an Asgard ship would be nice. Even one of there hand me downs (fat chance)

You could take over half the galaxy with one of the asguards hand me downs maybe thats what their worryed about more than the some what limited size of their fleet ?

they lost everything all the asgaurd have is one city calle Orrilla and a small ammount of ships. they saved there race by storing the minds of there people in the ships computers so they could betransfeared into new host bosdys we can assume that tgis is missions of bilions of minds and i doubt they all have boddies yet so the asgaurd probbley didnt want to risk loding any more of there people if a ship was to be destroed

Well, I finally got to watch the episode last night. (Damn you Aldi DVD Recorder.) I got the impression from the conversation about the hyperdrive that the Asguard had loaned them a hyperdrive for a return journey to atlantis. The plot seems a little thin though - they didn't really explain the terms of the deal, and neither did they explain how they knew that Atlantis was still functioning and that everyone was still alive. Maybe that will come out in future episodes.

Evil Carter playing both sides against the middle was great. I'm not sure whether to call her "Sixth" though. Didn't the replicators trapped in the time device claim that they'd attempted to eradicate a flaw in Fifth by creating a subsequent human-form replicator? I think Evil Carter might be "Seventh", or even "Eighth". Anyway, now she has the cypher, she's looking pretty dangerous. Hopefully she's running XP and someone will be able to hack her RPCGEN.

    Sorry.

Yeap, they even introduced Six to SG-1 during that episode. Evil Carter is probably tenth or eleventh or who knows what. When the replicators invaded the planet the Asguard resettled on they started mining and makeing new human form replicatorss soooo she could be any number :) Evil Cater is easier.

    There was a 6th
and we also saw a 7th but thats all we have seen we where given the impression that the reps only got enoigh of the material to make 1 more human form. 8th or later - carter
