Does anyone remember a show that used to be on Saturday morning i think , it was crocodile presenting a show behind a desk in the sewer , then in between there was cartoons the only one i can remember is a cartoon called Underpants Man or something like that , only other thing i can remember is that in the credits it was produced by Hatrick Productions?

Anyone got any ideas the name of the show?

"Round The Bend" it was called. Great programme it was too. Taking the piss out of lots of different bands/singers, cartoons and other telly programmes. From the same crowd who did "Spitting Image", I believe.

Doc Croc was the name of the crocodile who presented it. The Underpants Man you refer to was a pisstake of the cartoon "Thundercats" called "Thunderpants"!

There was also "Wooly The Wonder Sheep" (I loved that one!), "The Atomic Banana" and "False Teeth From Beyond The Stars" which, naturally enough, led to the sequel "The False Teeth From Beyond The Stars vs. The Atomic Banana" (these were pisstakes on those really bad 1950's sci-fi B-movies), "Wee-man And The Masters Of The Looniverse" (no explanation needed as to what they were spoofing with that one! lol) and "John Potatoes Newsround" (a pisstake on "John Craven's Newsround"), amongst others.

Yeah, it was quite satirical for a kid's show, but even if you didn't get all the references, it was still entertaining. :)

Cheers people, recognised it instantly. Just wondering wasnt there another programme called Round The Bend that RTE used to show?. Think it was set in Australia , near a lighthouse , and all these weird things used to happen every episode , there was 2 kids i think who were the main characters.

    "Have you ever,
    Ever felt like this,
    When strange things happen,
Are you goin round the twist?"

    or something like that.

Round the Twist was the Aussie show and Round the Bend featured Doc Croc and was made by the same company who make Have I Got News For You.

Was False Teeth From Beyond The Stars the part with Roger Rentice the Apprentice Dentist? And what about Transformerbots - robots that could turn into backsides!
