small network problem

I have a wireless network set up ethernet modem connected to a router connected to 3 computers al running xp,one of the computers net is very slow compared to the others ,(with all other computers turned off)would this be the cable by any chance,cos it wasnt workin before but is now,dunno how reliable it is
