    Hi there,
Firstly, I am aware that this is not a medical forum, but I am just looking for information from people who may have had a similar experience.

Since yesterday morning my left eye has been very sore - it felt as though there was sand or grit in it.
I have been to the doctor and the optician who both say that there is nothng in it. I have been given eye drops, which have cured a lot of the soreness - the eye is not as red now - but my vision has become blurred.

Anyway, I have been reading about eye infections on the net, and these are often associated with throat infections - funnily enough I am also experiencing a very bad taste in the back of my throat every so often.

I was wondering if anyone has ever had an eye and throat infection, and what they thinki it was caused by, how long it took to go away etc.
    Thanks a mil

eye ear throat and nose are all conected. eye problem most probably to do with walking in and out of hot and cold climates...ie going from shop to street car to outdoors ect. keep useing the drops. give it time and if the taste gets worse go to a doctor get a full check out.. anychance your feeling tired

Well thats exactly what I'm experiencing. I've keep getting this wierd taste in the back of my throat, which leads to a not really sore, but dry all the same, feeling in my throat and the back of my nose. I've also noticed the eye thing aswell, but i didn't think it was severe enough to get it check out, i was more of an annoyance. And yup, I'm also tired most of the time at work despite getting 9 hours of sleep a night.

Cajun_tiger any ideas? This has been going on for a while now, and the doctor said there was nothing in my throat at all, probably just food.

    Could be sinus related.

Had the worst sore throat of my life about a week ago. Was agony. Thnakfully thats nearly gone now. If only I could read of this *&$£"£"$ cough! Which incidentally is also the worst cough I've ever had. Getting better very slowly. Grrrrrr. Must be run down or something.

Bottom line - if you are concerned - visit your doctor again - if your not happy with him or her go to another....

Try some Olubus oil, you'll get it in any health shop or most chemists, great for sorting out your sinuses. If that don't work, go see a different doctor.
