Hi! How many people here on Boards have suffered from depression? Can you give me some advice on how to get rid of it? I don’t suffer from it, but a friend of mine does from time to time. I care about her alot like she is part of my family, like a sister. She’s home most of the time and lives out in the country away from a town I like to call home.

You can't "get rid of it", if you have real depression. She should go to see her GP.

I have been ther and done that and it can never be cured. Your friend needs help real help. She will alway have 'depression' but will not always suffer from it. Please get her to the gp who will refer her to someone. Its toughn but i know it works.
Please let me know either by boards or pm how you get on.
