superb fun to be had at the temporary ice rink down by the claddagh.
(walk across the bridge by Jury's and take the first left)

just thought i'd give you a heads up
(tis a bit pricey though... €13.50 for an hour)
and you have to book your tickets well in advance

That place is a joke. Into town for christmas and out no doubt before the novelty of paying 4 euro to watch people running around on a block of ice wears off.

Yeah I had a good laugh there yesterday. If you bring your student card you can get a euro off which isn't much I guess. I didn't have to book in advance or anything, I just arrived with my friends and we went in and this was at 7 o' clock. One bad thing about going at peak hours though is that the rink gets completely wedged and then its just impossible to pick up any speed as you have to dodge someone every few feet .

Good fun though, I'll go again. Oh yeah I'd recommend you wear thick socks because the skates really dig into your skin from leaning into them at all the turns.

I'd be on for heading down there at some stage.
