Rythembox and m4a files, and key board mapping

    2 questions with fedor core 3
    when i try to add m4a files to rythembox it just closes down

    key board mapping
    how can i get the volume keys mute key windows key etc on the keyboard to work

    i have an dell inspiron 8600 laptop


    any idea how i solve theses things

    re: keyboard mapping. think you have to use xbindkeys & xev(?) or if you're using KDE KHotKeys. i've never used these myself, but afaik you have to obtain the signal sent when you hit the key(s) (thats what xev does, i think) and then map some function to it in the wm of your choice.

    re: rhythmbox. its probably to do with fedora not playing mp-anything. theres probably an rpm (freshrpms.net) that'll fix it.

    none of the above is guaranteed to work....
