    am buyin a sony laptop for xmas and was wondering about upgrading it in a few years some sites seem to offer this and some don't, just wondering what the deal is with upgrading and all,is it cheaper than having to buy a new laptop down the road? how come some sites offer it and some don't?

    any help wud be cool!

    laptops are renowned for being very hard and expensive to upgrade. The easist thing to upgrade is the harddrive, or memory. After that it becomes quite difficult unless its an external upgrade.

    You'd probably be best off buying a new one in a few years.
