Rent a racer

    Hi,

I am doing a charity cycle from Dublin to Galway in March. I did it a couple of years ago on a mountain bike but dont intend going down that route again (the thick wheels make it much much harder)

Basically I was wondering if anyone knew of a place I could rent a racer at a reasonable rate for a week or so, or else where I could buy one that would be in full working order for cheap.

    Thanks

    Hey,

If you are still looking for a racing bike I have one that needs a good home, bought it in the hope I would get back into cycling but never got the time.

P.M me if you are interested and I will give you details of the spec, It was brought about 2 years ago and cost in excess of 1000 punts, will let it go for around 600 euros.

    Gar.

racers are not available for hire in Ireland
bike shops refuse to rent them out because racers are not suited to irish road conditions
if ur lookin for summit to suit irish condition i think a hybrid with really thin tyres s a good idea-theres a very good one by specialized called the crossroads is very good. acxtually the sirrus is a beautiful machine too, but a little dearer.
its only a personal choice for me but as an experienced cyclist, hybrids offer the best compromise for irish conditions

    check out some the specialised:
