Nominations here for what you thought was the best film of 2004.

To be eligible, the film must have been released on Irish cinema screens during the year 2004. Each voter can only nominate a maxiumum of two titles. Any further ones shall be ignored.

You can nominate two, if you want. However, why not put Save the Green Planet! in the best foreign-language category where it'll be more likely to be picked up? I'll be voting for it there, even though it deserves a place here (where it would alas most likely be swamped).

    A Tale of Two Sisters

    Saw

I'm leaving 'A Tale of Two Sisters' here because I can't think of an English language movie that was more enjoyable. Isn't it more interesting that way anyways?

I have to agree, it put me asleep....

From what I seen this year,

Man on Fire & The Incredibles

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,598 ✭✭✭cashback

It has to be Lost in Translation.
Destined to be a classic. Bill Murray should have got the oscar.
A lot of people didn't like it but I think that's because they were expecting a laugh-a-minute comedy. The trailers portrayed it this way I suppose.

Gotta be Lost in Translation. It's so far ahead of the competition I won't even botehr with a second nomination.

Gonna vote now. There's a few decent ones but, for variety, I'm gonna go with:

    Before Sunset
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

    Shrek 2

Can't remember much else, though I must make a conscious effort to watch ESOTSM the whole way through next time.
