They played at Ozzfest I believe. Fairly good bassist and drummer. Growly female singer.

heard of them, have feaured in metal hammer cds in the past, that's as far as my knowledge goes
they had a song called "Fil thee" or something similar, it was only ok

They have a love of anagrams. Otep is a anagram of poet and their album was called Sevas Tra. Which is art saves backwards.

There's a couple of decent tracks on the album, like Battle Ready, but overall they're not great.

I like the album Sevas Tra, blood pigs rocks - and thought they were pretty good at ozzfest a couple years back!!

Yeah but I can never remember which is which between them and Opeth. only one of them is good though. If Opeth are the gothicish band then Otep are fairly bad. Alright but not great.

Think it was called Filthee; was on the ozzfest live CD from a year or two ago. Gash song, gash band.

yea I know who otep is..I think that they are a pretty good band..That singer chick...I think her name is otep shamya or **** like that is pretty ****ing good for a chick...and she is soooo pretty...I saw them in concert at ozzfest 2002...Yea my sister is like a huge*** fan

I heard them at Ozzfest, met the singer aswell she is pretty hot up close. Anywho, I got the album cause I thought they were pretty good, that was my first mistake. Then I listened to it - that was my second mistake. To cut a long story short - They are not good.

Yeah I got their album after seeing their anti-Bush video, and I couldnt listen to it for more than 5 mins at any one time cos she sounds like a demented mental patient. Lyrics like "I hate my life" over and over are not very original
