    Dont know if it is really a Bargain but going by a place up near Nutgrove shopping centre(Rathfarnham) a computer shop called Micropro there was a banner in window saying 17inch TFT's for 299euro.....havent a clue as to what they are but you never know....

    lcd flat monitors like the ones on laptops but for desktop pcs. I'm considering getting one, so this is interesting to me! Does anyone know the spec or model of the ones on offer by any chance?

    Yeah the shop assistants seemed quite shocked when i asked about a bad pixel policy, confused by asking if they conformed to iso standards and utterly stumped by me asking about refresh rate. They did however manage to figure out the model and manufacturer: santron 73v. Will chekc their site now :)

    he gave me a web address for a company that makes coaxial cables. :rolleyes: Someone else should have his job I think.

    25 ms refresh rate

    The one leonard posted a link to has 16ms refresh rate. (better). Contrast and brightness not quite so good though.

    €240 P&P would be around €20 so €260 in total so €300 from an Irish shop is not bad.

    Does anyone have the SVP tft, by any chance? I'd like to know how good t is at showing colours correctly, and also how good dvd movies look on it.
