I think (and hope... bet) it will be more than 2 to Chelsea. Newcastle are without Shearer, Carr, O'Brien and their only holding midfielder, Butt.

It's possible of course, though i watched the match with Everton last week and while the Everton midfield is a lot less imaginative than Chelsea, Newcastle played their best football in weeks without the players you mention. They were very unlucky to draw, Jenas and Bellamy hitting the woodwork and Bellamy blasting against Pistone when he had time to place his shot from 4 or so years out. I think Chelsea will win, but doubt that it will be a cricket score.

Newcastle are the better team at half time. :(

BTW, these fixtures are the same fixtures as those of the last day of the season (in reverse of course).

Chelsea win 4-0. Lampard scored 1 and set up 1 for Drogba. Robben scored, set up by Duff (they really are Batman and Robben ;)) and Duff won a peno which Kezman scored for his first premiership goal.

I heard an interesting stat on Prem Plus. Newcastle have conceded 30 premiership goals this season, only 4 of them were in the first half, 26 in the second. They might aswell use thier 3 subs in re-arranging the defence at half time. ;)

just to let you know we did beat Southampton 2-1 if you can recall with 2 goals from Francis. We were poor yesterday after losing both Francis (broken cheekbone) and Holt (haemothorax) we missed them both in the center of the park. Hucks was quiet enough but Greeno pulled off some amazing saves towards the end. We have to be up for it against Bolton next week, I'll be at it again which makes it game number 9 this season for me so I'll be optimistic as ever.

Once again, Liverpool supporters will wonder how they didn't win that one :-/

And once again the answer will be " because they couldn't score more goals than their opponents."

Not too sure about that mate. Was at the match with 3 liverpool supporters, in holt end(oooh dodgy) and we all agreed it was a fair result. Liverpool had all the first half and Villa enjoyed the second. That Steve Davis guy for Villa was very impressive. As was that Steve Gerard guy for Liverpool.

I hear a lot about Alonso and in fairness when Gerard was flying he did do one or two decent things but whe Gerard got tired Alonso did nothing
