    Good news! http://www.itv-f1.com/News_Article.aspx?PO_ID=31677

This combined with toyota power gives jordan back their mysterious power to pull a win from nowhere, though i dont expect them to. The bit where smith says he relishes the challenge? I think he's probably relishing his pants right now! Good news though... wonder if i should go to monza this year.

Sweet... now if we could get Mike Gascoyne back we'd be set.

    Hey
It is widely thought that Mark Smith has joined Jordan as a way to join Toyota next year. As a part of the deal that saw Gascoyne move from Renault to Toyota, Toyota agreed not to poach anymore of Renault's staff. Hopefully he can have a positive effect on Jordan by the time he leaves.

if he builds a chassis to house the new engine properly they'll be fine but thats been toyota's main problem. kinda worries me... if gascoigne cant do it and smith does does that make smith better?

What's the story with Jordan now? Last I herd Eddie was all set to sell to the chinks.

nope, eddie is looking for investors still but he wants to retain a certain amount of control and also wants someone to mould in his own image to take over when he retires. The team also say "don't expect miracles this season" because they only got the engine last week so they're massively behind on development. They will be just about able to get the car on the grid in melbourne.

Last I heard was that the Midland (Russian) group were looking to take over Jordan with Gary Anderson overseeing the whole engineering side of things.

Well guys all the reports on the trustworthy sites are saying that a deal has been agreed with eddie aparently staying on as commercial director.
The rumour is that the deal will officially be announced this coming weekend.

This looks as if it is the end of the team as we know it but may not necessarily be a bad thing. I'm going to reserve judgement until I hear the ins and outs.

So i hear. It was a russian buy-out but i dunno if that was midland or what. Have to wait for the full story to come out somewhere, but you can be sure eddie ensured the safety of name and branding anyway

when thats the end of that

    from www.f1-live.com

Eddie Jordan mentioned that the future of his team was secured after the announcement that Midland Group agreed to take over the Silverstone-based squad.

We wondered if it is really the case (see our article on 25/01/05) with the announcement that Midland F1 are still planning to have their 2006 car designed and built by Dallara in Italy.

Our worries were confirmed this weekend when numerous British sources claimed that some of Jordan's personnel have left the team: mechanics, engineers and even the new Technical Director, Mark Smith (who might decide to join his friend Mike Gascoyne at Toyota).

It seems clear today that Midland bought Jordan Grand Prix for financial reasons (to avoid paying the FIA entry fee) and not to save the team

lets just say if Karthikeyan ends up alongside sato and massa into eau rouge this year.... KABLAMO, i cant see any of them backing off. montiero strikes me as a ralf schumacher type... once he gets going a good technical driver but as exciting as a ferrari one-two

And bravo... jordan have already lost mark smith! hahaha... we're boned but hahaha
