    Hi there,

I've a new USB flash drive for college, was wondering if it's possible to install firefox onto this AND the Adaware Extension...will it need to save the info. elsewhere or put dlls in windows dir or something?

I'd be guessing this is an uphill struggle only I swear I heard someone mention using it in college on a drive a while back...

    Thanks in advance. :D

Any idea about where Adblock stores its blocking details?

And yes I meant to type Adblock above...sorry!

    Great!

Thanks guys - +rep to follow.

Wish the damn exe would actually load now...No idea why not :( Maybe a reboot but I fail to see why?!

Edit: Worked with a reinstall...I guess FF is picky about the installation dir. :D

Ooh, will it be positive or negative :p Only time will tell.

Glad to see you got it working, i've tried portable firefox, and it seemed to work fine for me... until i lost my memory stick :p

Heheh. Didn't notice that! I really should give you neg. for being so picky!

It works really well. Hope it doesn't significantly lower the life of my new USB stick but hey! I have the proxy settings ok and 99% of things load at same speed as IE but for instance gmail didn't seem to be getting anywhere (this was midday UCD so maybe just traffic) so I had to *blush* resort to IE to get something in a hurry.

    Highly recommended!

I have a USB stick, but what I really want to try to do is transfer my profile onto my stick and transfere that to any PC I'm using. I have a lot of bookmarks/saved passwords that I'd like to be able to use. It just doesn't work well/at all. I may write more tomorrow, when I have more time.

Suppose you could go through the motions of exporting bookmarks, adblock filters and so on but dunno if that will help.

Don't you have to copy a whole dir inside Application Data\User Name\ etc. to get all the same?
