If you place an order from Dell and use the finance option, as in pay per month installments, but before the merchandise arrives you want to cancel..should there be a problem with that??

Chances are they are using a third party to do the HP deals. So if it has gone trough then you may stil have to pay the interst the sooner you have a look into it the better.
I got caught before with car ins i cancelled and still got the full bil for the finance company for the interest of the origional amount

Have you signed the lease agreement? Might be something in the terms.

from my own experience, as it is considered mail order you should be able to cancel the order / or return it once it arrives (as long as it is within a week or so of delivery).

Dont expect your dell sales rep to be too helpful once you tell them your cancelling, they get penalised for things like that.

The finance goes through permanent TSB and you will recieve a letter saying you have/have not been approved for your loan.If you have been approved you have,by law,10 days(i think,it might be 30) to cancel your loan but after that you gotta pay up sunshine.

you would probally be better going to the credit union and getting a loan of them instead of getting stung by Higher purchase conditions - whats the apr on it?
